The Hip Hop Witch | The Vibe Fairy

Turning pain into power and sound into alchemy.

Moon Magic, AKA the Hip Hop Witch, AKA the Vibe Fairy, is an emcee, producer, DJ, educator, sound engineer, and tarot reader who believes in the transformative power of music. Rooted in Hip Hop, raw lyricism, and soul, her artistry explores the beauty of becoming, the courage of vulnerability, and the power of finding your voice. For Moon Magic, music is more than expression—it's a channel for alchemy, a space where pain becomes purpose, truth becomes liberation, and sound becomes a vehicle for healing, empowerment, and transformation.

An old soul with a fresh perspective, Moon Magic bridges the analog and digital generations, drawing inspiration from legendary artists such as MF DOOM, KRS-One, Gang Starr, Erykah Badu, and J. Cole. Her sound blends introspective storytelling, soulful melodies, and unapologetic lyricism, honoring Hip Hop's roots while carving out a lane entirely her own.

Since making her debut in Sacramento's music scene in 2017, Moon Magic has shared stages with celebrated artists including OSHUN, The Grouch & Murs, Tajai, Casual, & A-Plus of Hieroglyphics, Vel Nine, KRS-One, The Pharcyde, Talib Kweli, GZA, and many more. Her artistry has taken her across the United States and internationally, including touring throughout the UK and California alongside a Hip Hop legend Teacha KRS-One. She has also joined Vel Nine and Queens of the Underground for a Northern California tour run.

Beyond the stage, Moon Magic brings the same intention to education, community, and creative empowerment. She holds a Master's degree in Urban Education, a Bachelor's degree in Political Science, and two minors focused on Multicultural Leadership and Spanish. Her work reflects a lifelong commitment to cultivating consciousness, celebrating individuality, and creating spaces for authentic expression.

In 2025, Moon Magic released her self-produced album Moving Different, showcasing her evolution as both a lyricist and producer. Now, she enters a new creative chapter with HOME, an upcoming project exploring love, identity, healing, and the journey of finding belonging within ourselves.

The project's first single, "All Believe is Art," is out now on all streaming platforms, offering a glimpse into a deeply personal body of work rooted in reflection, transformation, and the art of becoming.

More than a name, Moon Magic is a reminder that there is magic in the process of becoming who you truly are.
